Another year, another Peddler Faire!

It was that time of year again, and before I make my post of goodies, I will first post about Posting! Rather, a genius way to display your post earrings! Danglies too! A booth Amy and I went to this year used an embrodiery hoop to display earrings. When she sold them, it was easy to flip over the whole thing and yank the desired ones out! Super brilliant. Go to Michael's, and get what you need! Paint the hoop if you like! I did white myself! And then just get the embrodiery fabric. (it is usually on the same aisle) easy, cute, and organized!

Attic Hunting!

Well, I was able to be an American Picker this week over at my great aunt's house! got some really fun stuff that will be made into MORE fun stuff, with the help of my friend Amy! My favorite find is the small canvas suitcase. I just about DIED when both latches snapped open with ease. Every single one I have seen like it was busted in some form or another. The rest are just TONS of fun. really interesting pieces that I couldn't just leave to rott in a cracking old ziploc facsimile. Earrings are definitely the first thing I will make.

The other really fun thing is what I brought them all back in, which is an old tin from Blums of San Francisco! Sorry about the long pauses in posts. Again, it's rare I come across such fun pieces. I will be sure to post the reconfigurings and polished pieces as I restore them!

Delicious treats!

Today, my friends and I went to Crown and Crumpet! It is a lovely little tea shop at Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco. If you ever have the chance to go, you totally should! It is a great excuse to wear your vintage or fun jewelry! I wish we could have hit up Market SF first though, because my dear friend Stephanie Cortes' man,
Roger L. Moore is making some KICK ASS NEW STUFF!! I won't lie to you...I made a few purchases!

3 Donut Magnets! (EVEN THE FRIDGE GOT JEWELRY TODAY!!!!)

One Donut necklace for Ruthie!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDD HOSTESS CUPCAKE EARRINGS FOR ME, because they remind me of my mother.

These images were taken off of Roger's Etsy site, all rights and respects go to him for his fine photography!

The last purchase I made was from Stephanie herself! The picture here is of the mixed tape journals that she did, but she had little pins with them as well, which I got for my friend Alana!

Image rights go to my girl Steph for this one as well! DANKE for being so wonderful you guys!! You can find both of these amazing crafties at Etsy!

Bling BLING!

It may be that little bit of Latina that comes through on me! I do ever so much enjoy big shiny golden earrings. I admit that I am a big fan of the SUPER hipster store, MetroPark. The prices for the clothing can be so high they're laughable, but the Jewels are reasonable. These DELIGHTFUL earrings were only 8 bucks!
Of course, you can also go for a more elegant earring as well. Some of the BEST places to get jewels are MUSEUMS. Really neat and unique jewelry passes through there, like the Bento box earrings at the MOMA in SF! While they were very neato, they lacked the classiness of these bad boys.

This was a purchase from the Metropolitan Museum of Art Store that used to live in the Westfield Shopping Center in Downtown San Francisco. They are duplicates of some ancient princess' shit or something. I don't know the details, but I do know that they are FABULOUS, and they were also the first "GOLD" colored item I bought for myself.

Old School Hot Topic!

I still remember when hot topic was all punk, with neon green pants and really simple jewelry. You totally see the whole Gothic Lolita and Hipster thing in there now, along with the homage to "OLD" Stuff like the old Nickelodeon cartoons. I have purchased many a shirt or accessory at this lovely store, I will NOT lie. Probably the best thing I got was these earrings. My best friend actually got them for me. This was back when Guitar earrings were rare and unique. Not to mention handmade out of that shit crayola sells.

More fun with crafts!

In San Francisco, there is a local gig called Market SF that takes place at the Blue Macaw on Mission Street! The Macaw is a very nice bar with a stage for a dj and a cute little dance floor. Every Saturday from 12-6, there a little market of local artists selling their stuff! These earrings came from there! Most artists have etsy sites as well, so it's easy to find their stuff anytime!
